Pineclan wasn't originaly called Pineclan. It used to go by the name Dawnclan, and their home of origin had been far beyond the southern mountains. Dawnclan was accompanied by two other clans, but the land was plentiful and disputes were scarce. The leader of the clan at the time was Quialstar. She was kind, yet she lead with a strong paw and many of her clanmates respected her. The clan had followed the more common laws and traditions used by clans near and far and one particular cat wanted to see a change to that.

He went by the name Snowfur. Snowfur was Quailstar's loyal deputy and some even speculated the two to b mates.
